My baby rolled over for the first time today...It's very bitter sweet...She's growing up way to fast

1 - When I was pregnant Jaedyn would kick all the time and it would hurt but it was constant that I became immune to it. There were times Luther and I would be laying down and Luther would feel her kick and I wouldn't react and he would say, "Selena did you feel that" and I said no. I became immune to it.

2 - From the time we were in the hospital with Jae she would be able to stand up. The doctors even commented how impressed they were when she stood up.

3 - She loves the bath so much that she kicks and splashes, it's a lot of fun to see her so excited.

4 - In the bouncy seat she kicks so much that she will push herself all the way down where half her body is hanging off the bouncy seat. I have to strap her in it now. The other day she was in it and this little baby girl I watch was sitting in front of her and looking at her and all of a sudden she was crying so I looked at her and Jaedyn has kicked herself half off her bouncy seat and she was kicking the baby girl in the face.

5 - Recently she started pulling her feet straight up when she's playing with her play mat and she kicks the dangly toys...

6 - It's really funny at times when she will pull her legs straight up and then she'll slam them down almost like a body slam only with her legs. She will repeat that over and over

7 - Last night, she was in her bassinet and I heard her kicking a bunch and she had kicked her legs on top of the bassinet and was lifting her body. So tonight I'm going to have to put her in the crib for the first time tonight. I'm so sad, but I know it's safer.

8 - I've always wanted to put my girls in dance and with her strong legs I know she will be an excellent dancer

Luther and I were discussing about flowers to put in our garden, and he want to use seeds and I want to use the one's you buy that's already bloomed. The reason I want to use the ones already bloomed was because I think they work 110% better and he said the seeds will work just as good...So here's the conversation:

Luther: Give me a garden and I will use the seeds

Selena: You can have the one by the Fire Pit.

Luther: Ok, You'll see it's going to work just as good

Selena: Ok...We'll see

We went to the store and was buying flower seeds for his garden and the conversation went like this:

Luther: (gets 6 white packets of seeds) I got my seeds!

Selena: Your getting all white? No color?

Luther: (He goes back to the seeds and picks out flowers) Here's a blue flower....Here's a white flower...Now I need a red flower

Selena: HA! Seriously! (I thought to myself, it's going to match our flag)

Luther: Oh these are kinda different

Selena: Those are ugly

Luther: (Grabs the flowers) Got my flowers!

Selena: You don't need 2 packets of each that's 6 packets of flowers...Your garden is tiny

Luther: It's my garden!

HA! The competition is on! I hope your seeds work but, It's on!!! LOVE YOU

Luther's Garden

Luther was holding her and he had to change to go to soccer practice for Corporate Challenge for his work and as soon as she got in my hands this was her reaction:
I think it's safe to say that she wanted her dad and not her mom!
Luther is one heck of a dad!!!

We went to the Great Wolf Lodge to celebrate our 1 year anniversary, which is tomorrow!
We took Jaedyn with us and since she loves baths we were hoping she would love the pool.
She did enjoy it, but she was also cold, she was shivering like crazy so we got out quickly.
I can't wait to take her to the pool this summer, She's going to love it...
Here are some pics of our adventures in the pool

On Sunday will be our 1 year anniversary, I can't believe how time has flown by so fast. We have accomplished more things this 1st year than most couples can do in that time and I can't wait to accomplish a life time of accomplishments with my Best Friend, My Husband, My love, Luther!

I'm the happiest, luckiest girl around to have someone like him. He is hard working, he wants nothing more than to provide for our family, he has lots of goals for the future and is always working towards them! He is an amazing dad and loves his children more than life itself! He is always playing and loving on Jaedyn. (Jonathan lives with his mom) He knows how to make her laugh and she gets excited every time he is around. He knows how to make me laugh. He's so caring, and lovable! He is always compassionate! He loves the gospel so much! He is my best friend and cares for me and loves me and he lets me know how much he loves me, Everyday! I'm just very lucky!

Here are some of the things that we as a couple and best friends have accomplished in the first year of marriage:

1-We got married April 18 2009. Luther has been married previously in the temple and so there is a process to get remarried in the temple. So we went a head and got married in the Ottawa Ward Chapel. We have to wait a full year before we can start the process of getting married in the temple. So we are going to be able to start the process and it's a very long process, so we're hoping to get married in the temple this summer/early fall. I can't wait to be sealed to my best friend and be eternal companions.

2-We have a honeymoon souvenir...We got pregnant on our wedding night. Which we were super excited. I actually didn't know I was pregnant for a while. Luther was sick for about 3 weeks and then I started getting sick, so I was sure I was getting what Luther had, but sure enough it was morning sickness only it wasn't only in the morning It was all day everyday for 23 weeks. When I took the pregnancy test Luther was at work and it was one of those lined ones and when I saw it, I was pretty sure it said positive since those lines are sometimes hard to read. Luther got home and we went and bought another pregnancy test only this time it was a digital one and there were 2 in the box so I took them both and they both said pregnant. YAY! We were pregnant and it was very exciting!

3-I grew up around dogs my whole life and I absolutely love dogs! So in July we got a puppy. He is a German Shepard, Lab, Malamute mix. He is such a good dog and lovable dog who potty trained quickly and we named him Rosco.

4-Luther got a raise! He got a 7%raise and it was nice to have the extra money to rely on.

5-We lived in a one bedroom apartment that cost way to much for what the apartment offered. One day Luther came up to me and said we should consider buying a house. So I got a Realtor, (whom we loved) and we started the process. We looked at about 7 diff houses and there were 2 houses we loved. We loved a different one more but it ended up just coming off the market so we got the house we are in now. It's a perfect first house! It's 2 story, 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths in a cul-de-sac and it is just PERFECT!! We are slowly doing little improvements on it too! Like painting or building flower and vegetable gardens!

6-We were able to afford, for me to quit my job 3 weeks before I was due with baby Jaedyn so that I can be a stay at home mom.

7-Jaedyn was born at 12:42pm!! January 11 2010..7lbs 13oz and 19in long...I went into pre-labor on the 9th went to the hospital on the 10th and she was born on the 11th. She is such a great blessing to us!

8-With our tax return we were able to pay off lots of little bills and also all of the hospital bills for Jaedyn being born! Wow, didn't know baby birth is so much money but at the same time I'm very grateful that it is payed off!

9-Luther got a job transfer and making lots more money! What a blessing it is to us!

10-I started a daycare and we do lots of fun things..We didn't need the extra money but it is definitely helpful.

11-We've done lots of little things all within this year as well, such as family outings, building on our yard, Spending time together, Celebrating holidays and much more...

12-I'm so lucky and proud to say that Luther is my husband! He respects and loves me and treats me with kindness and he is just the BEST and SO AMAZING!!

I LOVE YOU HONEY!!!

We went to a family reuinion in Beloit, KS and we stopped at my grandma's grave. She kept staring although she was probably looking at the flowers. I kept thinking I wonder if she remembers her, I know my grandma took great care of her!

I really wanted a generation picture but since my grandma isn't here we took one with her grave I know she was there in spirit.
At the family reuinion we took a geration picture with my grandma's brother and sisters!
(Aunt Lois, Uncle Darrell, Aunt Leota, Mom, Me, Jaedyn)
This is such a neat family, I can't wait to do there work one day, I know they will accept the gospel in the after life.

So when Twilight first started and came out in theaters, I told myself I wouldn't watch Twilight or New Moon or any related movie. I told myself it was stupid and I didn't want to be some crazy Twilight Guru. Seriously all I heard was Edward fan or Jacob fan? What has this series done to you guys. When my sister, Amber (who does not like to read at all) decided to read the books, I couldn't believe it. Something had to be sooo Amazing of this series for her to read the books. I still told my self I will not be a crazy Twilight Fan.

I decided to see what people are so crazy about this series and ordered Twilight and New Moon off of Netflix. AND SERIOUSLY NEW MOON ENDS JUST LIKE THIS. I don't want to read the books because I don't want it to be ruined and I just hate reading. But seriously, that's how it ends!!!

I guess I am now one of those crazy Twilight fans and I will be going to see Eclipse in theaters. By the way I am DEFINATLEY a Edward fan :)

Luther has this fedish with making videos on youtube and posting them, he likes to trick people by putting a song with the video that doesn't make since with the video, he keeps singing learn to use your toothbrush, but it's really fun to see him so entertained...So here is the lastest....

Well, we sent Jonathan his easter package on Tuesday and we got the notification email that he recieved it yesterday! I hope he really has fun with the bubbles, playdough, playing catch, and eating his scrumptous m&m's. We love you!

We went on our 1st Family Vacation:

1. We decided to go visit my grandparents who live in Oklahoma since they can't travel and they love Jae so much already. They have bought her books, clothes, baby dolls, and a plaque so we really felt that it was important to go visit them so they could meet Jaedyn.

2. We only had to stop 3 times...1-to grab something to eat on our way out...2-fill up on gas...3-to stop and feed Jae. She only made us stop once and I was pretty extatic because she did so good on the trip, we got there in 5.5 hours

3. When we got to my grandparents my Grandma just loved on her and then my Grandpa held her and he was so happy and so in-love with his 1st Great Grandchild that all he could do was laugh it was PRICELESS

4. We went to sleep and we took Jae's bouncy seat she wasn't a fan of it, she woke up more than normal and we slept on the floor. It was very uncomfortable.

5. We got up and got ready and my Grandpa made us breakfast. It's been a long time since I've had a home cooked Breakfast, and it was mighty GOOD

6. We then went to the Zoo but first of all Map Quest seriously had some issues both getting to Oklahoma and again getting to the Zoo

7. Since Map Quest told us wrong directions we past a street and I yelled LUTHER RD. as we were going through the light intersection. So of course Luther was like What, Did I miss something, when really I was talking about that's what the road was called, Luther Rd. (We laughed about that for a while)

8. We got lost getting to the zoo but found it eventually. We had a Great Time..Jae was a little fussy. It was suppose to be sunny but instead it was gloomy and temps dropped then it rain luckiy right after we left.

9. We didn't get through the whole zoo since it was so big, but it was so fun going with my family and Jaedyn is so alert now that she would just stare at the animals even when they moved her eyes would follow them.

10. My Grandpa is huge into gardening and canning and he gave me a lot of tips. I can't wait for next weekend when I plant my garden :) He also gave me a pressure cooker and hot bath pot.

11. We left about 9 at night and got home about 3. I drove half way home and I never realized how much I HATE HATE HATE driving at night. I drove a little slow since I was SCARED to death.

12. We got home and woke up at 7 since we're early risers and Jae doesn't help out. So all day today we have been napping.

13. It was a great Family 1st trip

14. On the trip we discussed what temple we want to get sealed in since we haven't been sealed yet due to Luther's first marriage so we're about to start the process of getting sealed since he's been sealed in the temple another time, it's a long process. But my MOST favorite temple is Mesa Arizona but we were talking we will either go to the Mesa Temple or we will go to Orlando Florida Temple then go to Sea World and the beach with our Family. I can't wait for that day. Hopefully it will happen this summer as long as the process goes smoothly.

Finally, I have clothes that fit me!! Before I was wearing Luther's clothes which while I was pregnant they were getting way to small, but by now they are way to big. Everyday it was basketball shorts and t-shirts. I haven't got back to my original size yet but ready to have clothes that fit. With our tax return I was able to get me new clothes and it is WONDERFUL to have clothes that fit!!

Oh Happy Day!!! It's becoming Spring Time...FINALLY!!! So we went on our 1st walk...Jaedyn LOVED it because everytime we stopped she cried but then she was happy when we walked some more. She eventually fell asleep but IT'S SPRING WEATHER!!!

Today Jaedyn turned 6 weeks and it is time to celebrate!!! I took her and got her ears pierced!

She only cried for 30 seconds, the pic looks much worst than what it really was

Tonight she's a little fussy but not to bad, She's happy if she has her pacifier but if she spits it out then she's fussy. She's never been a baby where she just HAD to have her pacifier, so she doesn't keep it in her mouth long enough. I'm glad she's never HAD to have her pacifier all the time although times like this I wish she would keep it in her mouth, that's ok though because...

I still love her!!

This morning Jaedyn was laying on the bed propt up on Luther's pillow as he was getting ready for work. While Luther was getting ready he kept coming over to Jaedyn and was playing and singing with her. She was smiling so BIG that we thought we might get her first laugh, (but no cigar). While Luther would go back to the bathroom to fix his hair, Jaedyn would stare at him. He kept coming over and playing with her. But he left the room to go down stairs, she started crying hard, he came back into the room and she stopped crying immediately, then he left for good to go to work, and she was so sad she started crying again as she was staring at the door.

She loves her Daddy, and I'm so glad that she can recognize him since she only sees him at nights!

I knew Jaedyn was always fussy but as I was looking at the pics I took I realized she's always fussy...My wonderful dad went and bought some Gripe Water..I hope it works

Jaedyn's first bath...I think she was just shocked by everything because since then she's had 2 more baths and she just sits their as happy as can be...

Jaedyn getting her nails done...Can't wait to get her ears pierced :)

My Beautiful Baby!!!

Saturday, Jan 9 2010 I was due to have my baby, and I wasn't having any promising contractions, so we decided to go an hour south to Mound City to hang out with the fam. Throughout the day I had some contractions but nothing regular but when 10pm came around I was having hard contractions 9 min apart all night long. I got no sleep, we stayed home from church because I was miserable from the 9 min apart contractions. By 8pm I couldn't take it anymore it only went from 9 min apart to 8 min apart. We got to the hospital and I was only 2.5 centimeters so they watched me for several hours and I eventually got to a 4 they decided to keep me and said we're going to have a baby! Wa Hoo!! Finally, I thought. They eventually gave me an epidurl but I was still feeling the contractions when they couldn't figure out why, they called the anesthesiaologist and he came and looked at the epidurl and said it had fallen out. They had to give me another one. Finally at 5:30 my water broke, and at 6:30 I was only a 5. I thought I'm never going to have this baby. The next time they checked me it was 8am and I was a 10. I only needed my water to break.

I started pushing at 10am and the process was taking forever. No matter how hard I pushed she didn't want to come out. They could only see a tiny bit of hair. By 12:30 I recieved a blessing and literally the next push they had to call the Dr. in since it was only Luther and the nurse in the room at the time. She was really coming and in 12 min going from nothing but a few strands of hair to a whole entire baby she was out. It was such a miracle!
At 12:42, BABY JAEDYN WAS HERE!!! 7lbs and 13 oz and 19 inches long

She's BEAUTIFUL and I LOVE HER.. Luther is an incredible dad and I really couldn't ask for anybody else to Father my daughter. He is so much in love with her and is such a big help. We then changed rooms and got to spend every bit of time with her! We came home on Wed and spent a lot of time with her. She doesn't sleep much at night but that's ok, I can't wait to do so many things with her! I love my family so much!!

This was a crazy week...I cleaned, baked, and had 3 Christmas'. One with Luther (Christmas Eve Eve, One with my family (Christmas Eve), and one with Luther's family (Christmas Day).

My mom and sister's came over and we baked a lot of goodies, I wanted to have them for our family to snack on. We made oreo balls, recess balls, sugar cookies, no bake cookies, chocolate chip cookies, white chocolate dipped pretzels, and cinnamon popcorn. It took us 2 days to get it all done...

I also had a Drs. apt and in a matter of 5 days I went from 30% e-faced to 80% e-faced and not being dialated to being dialated to a 2...Hopefully Jaedyn is going to be here soon

Luther and I celebrated our Christmas on Christmas Eve Eve. Since it was our first Christmas together we wanted to be able to spend it alone. So we had pork chops for dinner and opened presents and watched a movie. Luther got really excited because he got a BB gun..It was a lot of fun to see how excited he was to get it, it reminded me of a little kid getting there dream present. But I really liked seeing him so excited about something little.

On Christmas Eve, we went to my family's house and we decorated gingerbread houses, played games, ate, and visited. We weren't there very long because of the huge winter storm...

Christmas Day, was very busy but still a lot of fun. We cooked a lot for dinner but we played games and visited. I'd have to say there was one particular event that will be unforgettable in my mind. We had a mouse in the kitchen while I was cooking and when I realized it, I wouldn't go back in considering I saw it 2x in a matter of 5 min. So Luther and Patrick decided to pull out the BB gun and they were shooting at it for about 45 min. This mouse was very brave, because it kept coming out even though there were lots of BB's flying at him. They eventually killed it.

Our First Christmas was a nice Christmas and I can say that it was worth all the prep.

Today, we went to get Maternity Pictures done. It was a lot of fun taking pictures and having Luther there taking them with me, and they turned out so good. They will be so fun to scrapbook. I can't believe we only have 3 more weeks left, although, I'm hoping that she comes sooner. Maybe this week preparing for Christmas will help get her here sooner. Reality hasn't quite kicked in yet, I know she's coming and getting the house ready to have a baby...baby bassinets, finishing the room, getting her clothes all washed and hung up, and even the Braxton Hicks Contractions. I know she's coming but when is it going to feel real to have a baby. I'm very excited for her to be born and enter the world and come into our family, everything will be so worth it when she's here.
